Kalin Dobrev
Manager of Festo Bulgaria
Kalin Dobrev has been part of the large Festo family in Bulgaria for more than 20 years.
Since 2023, he has been taking over the management of both companies Festo Production EOOD and Festo EOOD.
Previously, he was the CEO and member of the board of directors of Oberthur Fiduciaire – a joint venture between the French Oberthur Fiduciaire and the Bulgarian National Bank, which deals with security seals.
In fact, his professional career took place at Festo Production, where in 2001 he started working as an assembler and went through various expert and management positions, while significantly contributing to the development of the Lean culture in the company.
Kalin Dobrev graduated in “Polymer Engineering” at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia and “Business Administration” at the University of Vienna.
In the period from 2019 to 2022, he headed the largest operational department in the company – “Electronics and Drives”.
Over the past 2 years, under the leadership of Kalin Dobrev, the company in Bulgaria has transformed significantly and moved towards a high-tech product portfolio, which includes expanding the competencies of the Technical Engineering Center, assuming product responsibility for key products, as well as introducing a number of new products and technologies related to the electronics and electric drives of the Festo concern.
